I probably only use about 1/4 cup where most recipes call for 1 to 2 cups. I am a 50 something and have been in the south my whole life except for a 5 year period of time I lived in San Diego. It is sad to say but this southern girl does not like grits, greens or drink tea! My parents use to tell me they switched me at birth with some "yankee" baby. I have some yummy bean recipes which I will send you some time. Unless you want to fry up a few potatoes with it. That puts the meal over the top! However, as a girl raised in the south, we never put sugar in our cornbread. That just would not be right.<br />Thanks for all your wisdom. GRITSAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
